The cool blues of the ocean, the sparkling white snow of the mountains, and the vibrant red and orange leaves of trees in the fall — capture it all in vivid high-definition video. The JVC GZ-HD3E records footage to a built-in 60-gigabyte hard drive, so you can save up to seven hours of HD footage without loading any tapes or discs.

Advanced 3-chip image processor and high-definition lens
Each of the GZ-HD3E's separate image sensors captures one of the three primary video colors — red, blue, and green — for movies that glow with rich, true-to-life color. Plus, the 'HD3E features a Konica Minolta HD lens for a detailed, accurate picture. Image stabilization minimizes the effects of camera shake.

Convenient controls
Use automatic mode for worry-free shooting — the camcorder will adjust its settings to match your scene. Or adjust shutter speed, aperture, and exposure settings for greater creative control over your home movies. A widescreen mode lets you record videos that match the shape of your HDTV, without stretching or distorting the picture. An accessory shoe lets you add optional extras, like an external microphone or video light, for even more recording options.

Handy file organization
Finding a specific scene you've recorded is a snap with JVC's hard drive camcorders. There's no fast forwarding or rewinding necessary — your movie clips are cataloged as thumbnail images. Just select the one you want and it's instantly ready to view. You can easily delete scenes to free up disk space, or assemble them into playlists for viewing in any order you wish. And there's never any risk of recording over precious, once-in-a-lifetime footage. The 'HD3E always selects a blank space on the hard drive to begin recording your next scene.

Share and store your memories
Use this cam's high-speed USB interface to download videos and photos to your compatible computer. JVC includes intuitive, easy-to-use software for editing and storing your footage. Create standard-definition DVDs with your computer's DVD burner. Or burn high-def discs if your PC has a recordable Blu-ray Disc™ drive. The optional JVC CU-VD40 Share Station lets you archive footage without a computer — burn standard-def DVD discs and store high-def video files on data DVDs. The camcorder's HDMI output allows you to send high-definition video and digital audio to a compatible television or audio/video component through a single convenient cable (not included).
